FLY PATTERNS
Our Ghillie Don Abing, each month in the news letter has a fly of the month. This page is going to be an attempt to tie those flies and put their pictures and patterns on it.
I would also like to place club members favorite flies here, along with flies for our general fishing area. If you have a favorite fly or one that you would like to have on this page please tie the fly and give it to me at the general club meeting or e-mail me and let me know the name of the fly and pattern and I will see what I can do for you. These flies & patterns are in *.PDF format. Just click on                            and you can down load it for free.
The first patterns I am going to start with on this page are 12 Shad Fly patterns. The American Cancer Society each year has a "Relay for Life" of which the RFC sponsors a team and the Shad flies were part of a fund raiser for that. Don Abing asked me to tie a dozen flies for a special raffle, so I tied a dozen Shad fly patterns, but just for something a little different I made them with bead bodies. So here are the 12 Bead Body Shad flies.

If you are going to go fishing in the lakes here on the coast I made a hatch chart just for the coastal lakes in this area. Along with the different flies you can tie to fish with in the lakes.    Northwest Coastal Lakes Hatch Chart

Here are some fly patterns that are from our fly tying book that members use here in the coastal north west.
